Cookie policy

One cookie, and it exists so that your basket survives from one page to the next. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking on this website, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

What is actually stored

Why there is no “accept or reject” banner

Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, profiling, anything that follows you between sites. We do not use any of those, so there is nothing for you to consent to or refuse. The small notice at the bottom of the page is an explanation, not a consent request, and dismissing it changes nothing about what is stored.

Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in Poland by Article 173 of the Telecommunications Law, storage that is strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has requested does not require prior consent. A basket that forgets its contents between pages is not a service anybody requested.

Third-party content

There is none. Fonts, images, stylesheets and scripts are all served from this domain, so no third-party content delivery network sees your IP address when you read these pages. Nothing is embedded from a video platform, a social network or a map provider.

The one exception is deliberate and only happens if you act: if you follow a link to a publication's DOI or to PubMed from our research page, you leave this site and the destination's own policies apply.

The payment page

When you continue to payment, you are taken to a secure page hosted by our payment service provider. That page is theirs, not ours, and it will set the cookies it needs to process the transaction and to run its own fraud checks. Their policies govern it. You come back to this site once payment is finished or cancelled.

Refusing or deleting cookies

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site. If you block the session cookie here, the informational pages will still work perfectly; the basket and the checkout form will not, because they have no way to remember you between one page and the next.
