About us

Building a new perspective on medical imaging

We think complex anatomy should be experienced spatially rather than reconstructed in somebody's head from a stack of flat images. Everything we build follows from that.

Who we are

Virtual Simulations is a medical technology company based in Warsaw. Most of what we do is teaching: we train cardiac, interventional, congenital and imaging teams to work with patient-specific anatomy in three dimensions and in immersive virtual reality, online and in their own departments.

We teach on our own platform. Vea turns medical imaging data into patient-specific three-dimensional environments that can be explored, measured and used for simulation — and because we built it, a session can go past the buttons and into why a reconstruction behaves the way it does.

The work sits at an intersection that does not have many people in it — medical imaging, software engineering, real-time 3D and immersive technology — and the company exists because that combination turned out to be more useful to clinicians and researchers than any of its parts on their own.

We are a small, technical company. That has consequences we would rather state than have you discover: we are direct about what the software does and does not do, we prefer a forty-minute demonstration on your own case to a brochure, and when a project is outside what we can do well, we say so.

Mission

Turn complex medical imaging into intuitive spatial experience

Imaging data already contains the anatomy. Our job is to remove the translation step between the data and the understanding, so that research, teaching and discussion start from what is actually there.

Vision

Interaction with anatomy, not with slices

A future in which medical professionals work with patient-specific anatomy directly, instead of being limited by the two-dimensional conventions of the displays that happened to be available when medical imaging grew up.

Scientific curiosity

The interesting questions are usually the ones nobody has measured yet.

Precision

A number is only worth having if it can be reproduced by somebody else.

Innovation with evidence

New is not an argument. What the technology changes has to be demonstrable.

Usability

Software used by busy clinicians has to be fast to learn and quick to open.

Responsible medical technology

Clear boundaries, no overstated claims, and no ambiguity about regulatory status.

Collaboration

The best work happens with clinicians and researchers, not at a distance from them.

The company

Who you are dealing with

We are a Polish limited liability company based in Warsaw, developing Vea and delivering the training built around it. Full registration details are on the terms page, where anyone who needs them for procurement can find them.

Come and argue with us about a case

The most useful first conversation is not about features. Bring the case that made you look for something like this, and we will tell you plainly whether spatial review would have helped.
